Jay Rivera, Communications Manager
Jay Rivera has worked in communications for more than 20 years, as a military journalist, beat reporter, columnist, editor, marketer and social media manager. He holds a bachelor’s in Pre- and Early-Modern Literature from the University of California, Santa Cruz and a master’s in Journalism/Mass Communications (Public Relations) from Kent State University.
When he isn’t cranking out a news release, updating a communications plan, or reviewing social media metrics, he also serves as a minister at his church, where he visits the sick, leads small-group studies, and proofreads the occasional term paper. And when he isn’t doing any of that, Jay can be found in his garden, where he grows tomatoes, peppers and drought-tolerant plants. He and his wife have a son and a Catahoula Leopard Hound.
Beth Dhillon, Foster Care Specialist
Beth has been working with CSEC survivors for five years now and has a passion to fight injustice. After seeing young boys being pimped out from an orphanage in Africa and meeting survivors of sex trafficking in her home town, she knew she could not continue to live in a world where injustice like this exists if she didn’t try to do something about it. So she began reaching out and educating herself on the issue. She gathered resources in her town to assist the victims she was being called to pick up, from hospitals and off the street. She has devoted her life to this work and is proud to stand beside survivors and activists, calling for an end to violence and exploitation.
