California Against Slavery’s Lobby Day is a unique opportunity for Californians to tell our state lawmakers that they must do more to stop human trafficking. Join us and our partners at our State Capitol in Sacramento on Wed., June 17, 2015 (9:30am to 4:00pm). This is an empowering event where you can speak to your representative’s office and personally voice your support for SB 776 and anti-trafficking efforts.

Senate Bill 776 (Senator Marty Block, San Diego)

  • Mandatory fine of $500-$2,000 (in addition to other penalties) to sex buyers
  • 75% of fines go to fund shelter, counseling, and other direct services and exit programs for victims of commercial sexual exploitation
