Promising Practices in Multi-Victim Operations Webinar

May 13, 2020 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm

Human trafficking is an organized and coordinated criminal endeavor that requires an organized and coordinated response. Because of the lucrative and clandestine nature of trafficking, traffickers often exploit multiple victims concurrently. Over the last couple of years, we have seen an increase in law enforcement efforts to identify human trafficking schemes involving multiple victims; sometimes across various locations. In 2012, the South Bay Coalition to End Human Trafficking developed a protocol to provide advocacy and legal support to individuals uncovered through multi-victim operations. Through this workshop, we will share our strategies for addressing multi-victim operations utilizing a collaborative and comprehensive approach.

Speakers: Perla Flores, Community Solutions, Karen Schulz, Step Forward Foundation, and Ruth Silver Taube, Katherine and George Alexander Community Law Center, Santa Clara University School of Law. (All speakers are members of the South Bay Coalition to End Human Trafficking)
