A study in 2016 called The Nature and Extent of Gang Involvement in Sex Trafficking in San Diego County by Amy Carpenter, Ph.D., and Jamie Gates, Ph.D., states that of all the incarcerated sex trafficking facilitators interviewed “30% reported they have participated in or witnessed sex trafficking connected to middle schools and high schools.”
It is essential for Faculty and Staff to be trained in how to identify the signs of Human Trafficking.
