How Children Experience Human Trafficking in Washington State

About this Event

In this 3 hour training, the Washington Anti-Trafficking Response Network will provide experience-based training and teach on the realities of human trafficking and how children experience labor and/or sex trafficking in Washington State. In this training, participants will learn the history of human trafficking in the US, learn the definition of human trafficking as defined by the Trafficking Victims Protection Act of 2000 and learn the current trends of human trafficking and how it impacts children. Participants attending this training will learn trauma-informed, person-centered, and empowerment strategies when engaging at-risk and vulnerable children. This training will dive deep into the labor trafficking of homeless youth and best practices when providing services to these youth.
